Delivering 15 solid tracks of the finest Hip Hop, soul and jazz, Moving On is the second album from Oakley Grendell under his solo production moniker O.G, following on from 2002’s Jaded EP and his 2003 debut Uncharted.

Since 2002 Oakley Grendell has been the source of a constant stream of jazz inspired musical treats; founding both the Departure Lounge and Otautahi Allstars bands, along with being the producer behind Hip Hop/dancehall crew, The Eskimo Squad.

Grenell – the son of one of New Zealand’s most successful musicians, country legend John Hore Grenell, and the brother of Shapeshifter’s powerhouse drummer Redford, Grenell has collaborated with some exciting new talents and celebrated vocalists from across the UK, Australia and New Zealand on Moving On.

Stepping up with O.G are singers Mark Vanilau, Mara TK, LA Mitchell, Spikey Tee, Charmed 1 and world class MCs Dynamite MC, KP, Switch, Wacklar and Voodoo Child. The album was mastered by U.K. Grammy Award winner George Lambert (Alicia Keys, Busta Rhymes, Tribe Called Quest) and mixed by b-Net award winner The Nomad.

Moving On will be released in Australia on September 13 2008 through AlleyKat Records/Beat Broker/MGM, meanwhile O.G and MC’s KP (fresh from touring with Shapeshifter) and Switch (Sunshine Sound System) will be coming to Australia to pave the way for the album release with a series of local shows.
