TOUR NEWS: Rihanna and Chris Brown to Hit Australia (2 Shows Added)

Two of the world’s hottest stars, will be performing together live for the first time in Australia. Rihanna, The 20-year old multi-platinum, MTV and Grammy Award winning artist, who has taken the world by storm returns to Australia to continue her quest for world domination. Chris Brown, one of the music world’s biggest superstars will co-headline the massive tour. With two new shows added in Melbourne and Sydney, this is set to be the live music event of the year.

Burning holes in the dance floor with Pon De Replay, Barbados-born Rihanna was catapulted to the world’s attention in 2005. Benefiting from the mentoring of music icon Jay-Z, his protégé has become without doubt one of the hottest female artists in popular music today.

Both Her follow up sophomore album, with the back-to-back hits SOS (Rescue Me) and Unfaithful, and her 2006 album, A Girl Like Me, quickly rose to # 1 and reached multi-platinum sales. Rihanna’s third album Good Girl Gone Bad was released last year – and re-released one year on. The multi-platinum, worldwide smash includes mega-hits Umbrella (featuring Jay-Z), Hate That I Love You (with Ne-Yo), Please Don't Stop The Music, Take A Bow and the latest single, Disturbia.

In early 2007, Chris Brown strutted across Australian arena stages as special guest for Beyoncé; his performances leaving none in doubt he was a star on the rise. Coming to notice with his self-titled debut album featuring the international hit Run It, Brown followed up with his second major release Exclusive.

The album, featuring collaborations with Black Eyed Peas front-man Will.I.Am and fellow platinum artist T-Pain, has produced three huge hit singles - Wall To Wall, double-platinum Kiss Kiss and the platinum top five tune With You. Exclusive – The Forever Edition was released in June this year and has taken Brown to the top five of the ARIA album chart, yielding double-platinum sales and the top ten platinum single Forever.

Tickets for Rihanna and Chris Brown's Australian tour go on sale Monday September 15 through Ticketek, with a Ticketek pre-sale running from Friday Sept 12 - Sunday Sept 14.
