Bobby Brown - Greatest Hits Tour 2007

He's been called "King of Stage", "Brown Bomber," and “The Bad Boy of RnB”, amongst other illustrious monikers. However, by any title, singer, songwriter, producer and performer Bobby Brown is a certified superstar. Since his solo debut in 1985, Bobby has earned himself a legion of fans internationally, selling millions of records globally in the process. One of the biggest RnB stars during the 80’s and 90’s, Bobby Brown was the artist who popularised the genre ‘new jack swing’ by blending classic soul, urban grooves and hip hop beats, with the help of producers extraordinaire, Teddy Riley, Babyface and LA Reid. He released a countless string of hits during his career including Don’t Be Cruel, My Prerogative, Every Little Step, Rock Witchu, Humpin Around, Good Enough, We’ve Got Something In Common, Thug Lovin (with Ja Rule) and many more.

Now for the first time in over ten years, Bobby Brown returns to blow Australian audiences away with a series of live and intimate showcases with his band. With over 25 years in the business, Bobby began his musical journey back in 1981 when he formed New Edition with old school friends Ricky Bell and Michael Bivins. The group was discovered by producer Maurice Starr after coming second in a local talent show. Within a few years, they would shoot to superstardom with their worldwide smash hit Candy Girl. New Edition enjoyed a string of hits and numerous Gold and Platinum selling albums, but Bobby was restless and longed for the solo limelight. In 1986 he released his debut solo album which spawned a number 1 RnB hit with Girlfriend. But it was the 1988 release Don’t Be Cruel that forever altered Bobby’s life by making him one of the biggest selling RnB acts of all time. The album featured four Top 5 singles including My Prerogative and Every Little Step, and earned him a Grammy, Soul Train, and two American Music Awards.

In 1996, Brown released his third album Bobby which sold millions of copies worldwide. It featured the massive hits Humpin’ Around, Good Enough, Get Away and Something In Common, a duet with his then wife, Whitney Houston. He went on to feature on New Edition’s comeback album Home Again, Ja Rule’s massive 2002 hit Thug Lovin and released a forth album and a Greatest Hits. His foray into reality TV was also extremely successful with his series Being Bobby Brown, the highest rating show ever on the Bravo network.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see one of the most successful RnB artists of all time in his dynamic stage show.
