As the birthday of late great Reggae pioneer Bob Marley rapidly approaches, Tony Rebel and Queen Ifrica will be teaming up with the legendary Sly & Robbie and The Taxi Gang, along with the 'Princess of Dancehall Soul', Cherine Anderson, bringing their conscious, roots-oriented musical stylings to North America. Sly & Robbie and the Taxi Gang, Queen Ifrica and Cherine Anderson will be headlining the 27th annual Raggamuffin Bob Marley Day Festival on Saturday February 16 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California, which has been the home of the event since 1989. They will also be headlining the show in San Diego, California the following day. Other artists scheduled to appear at the festival include Beenie Man, Capelton, Anthony B, Gregory Isaacs and Collie Buddz. The final leg of the four-day festival takes place on Saturday February 23 in San Francisco, California. Last summer Sly & Robbie and the Taxi Gang, along with Cherine Anderson, completed a very successful tour of western U.S, as well as western and eastern Canada. On August 5 they headlined the 2007 Reggae Rising (formerly Reggae on the River), and on August 12 they played the Hollywood Bowl KCRW World Festival.
