Up and coming Miami-based rapper and nightclub owner, Stack$, is lucky to have escaped serious injury following a near-fatal car accident, where he collided with another car on a freeway overpass in Miami, Florida.

The rapper, born Yannique Barker, was driving in his Ford Explorer with an associate on the night of Friday, May 30 when they collided with another vehicle on the 195 overpass heading towards I-95 North at approximately 7:30pm.

The rapper's vehicle spun into a 360 degree spiral parallel to oncoming traffic, crashing into the bridge's barriers at high speeds. The vehicle's tail-end was then shot into the air, nearly tipping the vehicle over a 40-foot descent that lay below.

Shortly after the accident, Miami Police and local paramedics arrived at the scene to direct traffic and inspect the scene. Stack$ suffered second degree burns, chiropractic injuries, a broken hand, and several cuts and bruises, according to reports. Stack$ and his associate were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they stayed overnight, being released the following day.

Stack$ is currently recovering at his private South Beach residence and is counting his blessings. "I'm very lucky and thankful to be alive," said the rapper.

In addition to being a fledgling recording artist, working with the likes of The Game, Scott Storch, Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz, Stack$ is also the co-owner of Miami-based recording label Sobe Entertainment, which has release projects by Brooke Hogan and recently signed reggae acts Jah Cure and Junior Reid.
