NEWS: Mariah Carey Possible Marriage To Nick Cannon, Still Atop Charts

Speculation is running rampant that songbird Mariah Carey and actor/rapper Nick Cannon are married, following a private ceremony.

Cannon was quizzed by MTV on Monday (April 28) and while not directly answering the question, stated that Mariah is "a great person."

When questioned by People magazine about what he loved about her, 27-year-old Cannon said "Everything."

The duo have been spotted holding hands by several sources. Speculation was further fueled at the after party for her Tribeca festival film, Tennessee, where Mariah was seen wearing a large pink diamond ring on her ring finger.

According to celeb gossip reporter Perez Hilton, the ring Mariah is wearing is the same ring Cannon gave to former fiancé Selita Ebanks.

Mariah had previously been romantically linked to music executive Mark Sudack. Not a stranger to walking down the aisle, Carey's first marriage was to record executive Tommy Mottola, which lasted from 1993 to 1998.

In related news, despite a small drop in sales figures (6.1%) Mariah remains at number one on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart for the second week in a row, with her new album E=MC2.
