Mariah Carey's mighty two week reign at the top of the Billboard Top 200 album chart has come to an end, with her latest album E=MC2 dropping to #2 this week (a 48% decline).
The new queen is none other than pop legend Madonna, with the anticipated new album Hard Candy hitting #1 in it's debut week.
Former runner-up to Mariah, UK-based songstress Leona Lewis, and her debut effort Spirit fell to #3, moving 96, 000 units.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Lyfe Jennings had an impressive debut week with his third album, Lyfe Change, reaching #4, selling 80,000 copies.
The ninth studio album from veteran Hip Hop band The Roots, Rising Down, hit the #10 spot, moving 54,000 copies. The outfit's 2006 effort Game Theory debuted at #9.
Hip Hop upstart Lil' Mama sold 19, 000 copies of her debut release, The Voice of The Young People, reaching #25 on the Billboard album chart.
Overall, album sales are reportedly up by 10% from last week's figures, with 7.55 million units being sold.
