HIP HOP RELEASE: Ras Kass - Institutionalized Vol. II

West coast stalwart, Ras Kass, may be incarcerated for a probation violation since last year, but he's got new music on the way. Set for August, Babygrande Records has announced that they will release the second volume of Ras' Institutionalized album series.

Ras Kass has faced adversity throughout his career, especially due to major label dramas. His last official album was 1998's Rasassination. Since that album, he was scheduled to release an album in 2001 (Van Gogh) and in 2002 (Goldyn Chyld), but neither saw the light of day due to widespread bootlegging.

However, he's released several mixtapes to keep the streets happy, and has managed to keep his name fresh within the hip-hop community. Institutionalized Vol. II is slated for release August 5th.
