Hip-Hop collective Wu-Tang Clan will release their highly-anticipated album 8 Diagrams in December. This will be their first album since 2001’s Iron Flag. They’ve also cleared the first ever Beatles sample. The mystery song, a previously detailed street-wise interpretation of George Harrison’s While My Guitar Gently Weeps, features contributions from Dhani Harrison, son of late Beatle and song author, and Red Hot Chili Pepper quitarist John Frusciante.
The group, which re-surfaced last year for a live performance in California, is also returning to its beginnings by reuniting with Loud Records founder Steve Rifkind for the album’s release. Rifkind has kept track of the impact the group and its members have had on the rap community. To promote 8 Diagrams, Wu-Tang Clan will embark on a month-long U.S. tour that kicks off Oct. 20 in Miami and ends in Hawaii on November 23.
