HIP HOP NEWS: Talib Kweli Debuts At No. 2

Hard work does indeed pay off, as Brooklyn Hip Hop veteran Talib Kweli has debuted at number two on Billboard's Top 200 album chart with his third solo album Ear Drum. The Black Smith Music/Warner Bros. Records artist also debuted at number one on Billboard's Hip Hop/R&B album chart and number one on the iTunes Hip Hop/Rap album chart.

The new single Hot Thing and it's accompanying video, which premiered on BET's popular 106 & Park on August 22, is currrently burning up radio and TV outlets throughout the U.S.

Ear Drum, Talib Kweli's crowning achievement, features hard-hitting and intelligent lyrics and production from the likes of Hi-Tek, Will.I.Am and Kanye West. Guests include Norah Jones, KRS-One, Musiq Soulchild and Jean Grae.
