HIP HOP NEWS: Papoose and Remy Ma Engaged to be Married

It has been announced that down low Hip Hop couple Papoose and Remy Ma are engaged to be married. Remy first shared the happy news with TV/radio host Egypt (of BET's The Black Carpet).

The wedding ceremony is planned for this coming summer. The plans could possibly be interrupted though, as jury selection has officially begun for Remy's upcoming trial. The 26-year-old Bronx resident is standing trial for a shooting incident, which occured outside of a New York nightspot in 2007.

A dispute over money with acquitance Makeda Barnes-Joseph (Remy acused her of stealing $2, 000 from her purse) resulted in Barnes-Joseph being shot twice in the abdomen.

In related news, Papoose and Remy Ma have been embroiled in a war of words with Fat Joe. Remy was a member of Joe's Terror Squad collective until 2006, when their relationship soured.

The future Mrs. Papoose recently teamed up with fellow ex-Terror Squad members Cuban Link and Triple Seis for the diss track Moment of Truth, aimed directly at Fat Joe.
