HIP HOP NEWS: Australia's DJ Perplex ranks 9th in DMC Finals

It’s with great excitement that we announce that 2007 DMC Aussie Champ DJ Perplex placed 9th in the recent World finals in London.

Competing in a championship that’s birthed some of world’s finest Turntablist stars – from DJ Craze and A-Trak (Kanye West’s DJ) to living legends Cash Money and Mixmaster Mike – Perplex matched it with the best in the biz, delivering a scintillating performance of precision scratch and juggling routines and custom made battle records, which ensured a massive response from the crowd and judges alike. Such were the 23 year olds skills, that he outclassed DJs from competing countries Spain, China, Denmark, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Mauritius, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and UAE, to score a place in the final.

On the back of a month long European tour Perplex will be returning to Australia in November to tear the roof off clubs, parties and festivals across the country for his ‘DMC Victory Tour’. Expect the 2007 Aussie DMC Champ to dish up the finest in hip hop and funk as well as showcase the routine that won him this year’s competition and 9th place at the World finals!
