Internationally renowned and critically acclaimed New Zealand DJ/Producer, The Nomad (a.k.a. Daimon Schwalger), is returning to Melbourne, Australia. For almost 15 years, the Wellington-based artist has attracted sell out crowds to his shows and received acclaim for his production work, playing and collaborating with some of the finest artists in the fertile Kiwi music scene and beyond.
Seamlessly fusing hip hop, drum ‘n’ bass, soul and jazz, with trip hop and dub, The Nomad has established prodigious credentials, dropping six critically-acclaimed albums to date.
Hot on the heels of the release of the album Selected Works in Australia, and a hugely successful East Coast tour in January ‘08, The Nomad is back to rock Melbourne crowds, teaming up with MC Jazz (UK), with his hip hop/ragga style on the mic. The Nomad will bring a swag of new tracks and the cream of
Selected Works in a mash up of hip hop, breaks and drum and bass.
Melbourne Dates:
- Fri. 16 May, Revolver Upstairs
- Sat. 17 May, First Floor (at Bust-A-Nut with Kano)
