Single: Will.I.Am - I Got It From My Mama

Wow! Not wow as in "I've gotta hear this piece of musical brilliance a million more times". It's more like "wow, what a giant piece of pedestrian fluff, disguised as a humorous ladies anthem".

Everything from the nauseating chorus to the half-decent yet still generic beat and simpleton lyrics screams desperation. A feat that I didn't think could be replicated after the vomit-inducing Fergalicious, also produced by Mr. I.Am.

If you enjoy seeing a parade of video vixen booty then the accompanying video clip, filmed in Brazil, may soften the blow of the actual musical content. The girls may have gotten their bodies from their mama, but where did Will get the idea for this song? Hallmark must have a music department that I didn’t hear about.

Definitely not a promising precursor to Will's latest solo foray. How is this track possibly appealing?

I did learn one valuable lesson from listening to this track though, “if her mama real ugly I guarantee you that she’ll be ugly like her mama”.
