Single: Robin Thicke - Magic

Robin Thicke has made a great transformation into the blue-eyed soul supremo he is today. His latest cut Magic is half blaxploitation anthem and half feel good dance floor filler. I fell in love with his under rated 2002 salvo When I Get You Alone, and although the strings on this are no Beethoven masterpiece, they add to the slick sound of this R&B gem.

Magic is the first serve from the forthcoming Something Else, which pits his voice against a flurry of conga thumps, strings and horn points that help describe the symmetry he shares with his lady friend. Thicke captures some top notch vocal moments through out and shows why his album may be at the top of a lot of ‘to buy’ lists.
