Single: Jade MacRae - I Wanna Be In Love

With the rise of R&B in Australia, Jade MacRae is undoubtedly rising with it. Her new single I Wanna Be In Love unleashes her more soulful side with some playful undertones. The lyrics delve into the ups and downs of love, and although they are repetitive and simple, they are still quite catchy.

Backed by a funky, likeable beat, I can see a car full of chicks bumping this track as they cruise ‘round in their cars, or while relaxing with mates. Vocally however, Jade doesn’t deliver any strong notes and during the verses her voice doesn’t really blow you away.

I Wanna Be In Love will do well unless it’s overplayed on the radio. I wouldn’t say this is hard-out R&B, although if you’re into soulful pop, this for you.
