King Kapisi - Raise Up

King Kapisi is not a new name for those who know their New Zealand Hip-Hop scene. He’s back with a new single, Raise Up, which is a straight up club banga. Kapisi still has his unique, trade mark flow but plays it safe. The track is very radio friendly and not too hard core for those who might find hard core hip-hop hard to swallow. Heads might not like it but if commercial stations pick this up this will end up on the charts. The beat is full of nice stings and heavy synths, but then again Kapisi doesn’t do anything new with his flow. I don’t mind this track, however I wouldn’t consider it Kapisi’s best.
