The 'Eastern Eye' series is so fantastic. It brings us the very best of lesser-seen Asian movies, that certainly would have little chance of local cinematic release.
And so we come to Tell Me Something. A grimy cop thriller of the first order.
Much like Se7en and The Bone Collector before it, Tell Me Something borders on the grotesque, but comes up trumps with its thrilling mix of plot twists, and shocking set pieces. Like any great film noir Lieutenant Cho (Han Suk-gyu) gets enticed by the femme fatale (Shim Eun-ha), and as she becomes more and more suspect, he becomes increasingly enthralled.
Is this case unsolveable? Can Cho deal with the heat?
