This coming Sunday (April 13) the Fairfield Showgrounds in Sydney will play host to one of the largest urban music events Australia has ever seen, with the Bring It On! Youth Festival.
Established in 2001 by the Fairfield City Council, as part of the celebrations for Australia’s National Youth Week, Bring It On! is an open-air music, sporting and arts festival, which has attracted almost 10,000 people each year.
This year’s mega-event will see a line-up like no other, including: Australian Idol’s own Paulini, New Zealand Hip Hop stars Tyree and XY Latu, R&B crooner Israel (Australia/U.S.), DJ Nino Brown (Blazin’ mixtape series) and a whole host of other talented signed and unsigned performers.
Each year, a dedicated team of over 70 volunteers aged 12 to 24 years old from Fairfield City and south west Sydney are professionally trained to assist at the event. These young people make a huge contribution to the event’s success and pick up a number of skills just by being involved.
Bring It On! Youth Festival showcases local young musicians and performers in a drug and alcohol free environment. Six live stages offer music ranging from Hip Hop to heavy metal. There are basketball and break dancing competitions, arts workshops, a car exhibition, food and information stalls, amusement rides, a skate ramp, short film screenings and plenty more.
The Bring It On! Youth Festival takes place on Sunday, April 13th 2008, from 12 pm - 7pm at Fairfield Showground, Prairievale Road, Prairiewood, Sydney, Australia.
Bring It On! is a drug and alcohol free event. Entry to the festival is FREE.
