Young Jeezy - National Anthem

Expect much? Only monetarily..

I'm no Jeezy fan...can't adapt to his voice, his flow irritates me, his lyrics bore me...they honestly do nothing whatsoever for me. However, even though this track is pretty much nothing more than what you'd expect from Jeezy, the beat is definitely hot, some good synth work done. Hits hard, and I suppose his raspy voice accompanies it quite well.

As for his lyrics...let's just say he gets in a good shot every now and then within the four minutes of this track. I mean, as far as bragging and monetary numerical references go, how good can it really be? He drops more numbers in this track than The Game does names on his average track. His puns are mediocre at best, and the hook is painfully repetitive. But for a couple of the puns he does manage to squeeze in between bragging about his material wealth, they really ain't that bad - gotta give credit where credit is due. I guess if you're a more than average Jeezy fan or if you own all the cash, cars and clothes he does, then this track will appeal to you, but to someone like me who doesn't dig Jeezy and doesn't (yet) have all the cash, cars, and clothes he does, I could almost use this track as justification.
