About this Michael Vick Situation...

What’s up people!! I am pleased to be bringing you my first blog. I am Andre’ A.K.A. Demeritrious meaning man of great potential.
Was born out of Honolulu Hawaii moved around 10 times and now I’m going to school and living in Little Rock Arkansas. I am pursuing a music career by myself if you wish to listen, give comments, and add me as a friend on MySpace my URL is www.myspace.com/demeritrious21. I have a dog myself his name is Luke’ (my Hawaiian name) he has saved my life before and I love him to death.
For those also interested in this whole Michael Vick thing I believe it has to be one of the most hypocritical cases out there. I do believe Vick did wrong with this dog fighting issue. I know it’s hard to let go of friends but there are some people who just have to cut loose when they are doing good for themselves and others try to bring you back down.
The thing I found funny was when I was watching SportsCenter recently. I watched the report about how Vick will be in prison for 23 months and then the NEXT STORY read “5 year old boy kills a bear with a gun.” This child is being glorified for killing a bear. There are hunting shows on 24/7 killing animals for sport and that’s perfectly fine. Hunting video games, magazines, posters you name it.
My question is, what is the moral difference between what Michael Vick and his accomplices did with the dogs and the people glorified on T.V. or even everyday hunters?

Good stuff
Welcome to the Planet Urban family, very interesting blog. I agree, no one can defend what he did, but it is incredibly hypocritical of the media to glorify other people for killing animals, yet Michael Vick's career is tarnished forever now. Styles P actually has some very insightful lyrics about this incident on the track Cuz I'm Black, from the Super Gangster album.
