Top 10 Most Sexual Albums of All Time

I have always been a lover and not a fighter so when often when I wrap my ears around some tunes.. they are SEXUAL!!!
Now the term 'sexual' doesn't necessarily mean related to sex. I was inspired once by a close friend of mine to adopt some what of a philosophy which is simply, “Keep it sexual.” This doesn’t mean to go around dry humping fire hydrants and pinching random ladies on the bottom. Being sexual also means being tender, maternal, caring, nurturing and a provider.

Can You Dig It? – The Blaxploitation Era

Blaxploitation films. They mean many things to many different people, whether positive or negative. Regardless, you cannot deny the fact that the so-called Blaxploitation film genre was very much the first form of entertainment to gleefully celebrate the culture of African-Americans in what was, up to that point, a landscape dominated by squeaky clean Caucasian depictions of life and society in America.

Best Gig?

People ask me quite often which act did I enjoy most in concert. This is always followed by a long, “Hmmmm well I am not sure.”
It is hard to narrow it down but I think I can confidently say Method Man and Redman, Alicia Keys, John Legend, The Roots and J5, Amp Fiddler and Digital Underground. This doesn’t include acts I have seen at festivals as I would easily then add Lupe Fiasco in 2006.
Who Is Weng Weng?

While recently perusing the Planet Urban forums I was inspired by a very entertaining post titled Weng Weng Rap. What was contained inside that post is some of the greatest footage ever dedicated to film.

A3C Hip Hop Festival

Last week I was lucky enough to attend the A3C Independent Hip Hop Festival (www.a3cfestival.com) in Atlanta, GA. Promotions were large for the three-day festival with a Juice Crew reunion to be held
on Friday night (with Marley Marl, MC Shan, Roxanne Shanté, Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane and Craig G). But with limited time, I chose to take in the opening night show of Del the Funky Homosapien, Little Brother, Jeru tha Damaja and Wale.

Hip Hop Police Are Listening…

It was just last year that Chamillionaire had a sizable hit with the single Hip Hop Police. However, the very notion that there is a special police taskforce that was put together to specifically target Hip Hop artists has been explored, reported and substantiated in some ways for over five years now.

A Walk In The Park?

After watching Forest Gump recently I felt inspired to tell you all about a stupid although inspiring story of debauchery, vice and determination. This incident happened after another grand night of drinks, music and podium shenanigans. This particular night which already had highlights was to become more than just a night on the town. This night ended up becoming a night on a few towns or suburbs at least. This doesn’t sound all that impressive initially but when it is done on foot then it gets interesting.
