Young P

Liam ‘Young-P’ Wilson was born (1990) and raised in northern NSW in the City of Lismore. Young-P was 11 years old when he first found his talent in rapping and it wasn't until the age of 13 when he started recording his lyrics and getting exposure on local and international compilation CDs. He says “I write anything, from club bangers to emotional tracks. I try to be as versatile as possible so I can appeal to a larger audience.”

Platinum (as he is also known as) has been influenced by mainstream rap and artists including Jadakiss, Jay-Z and Fabolous. Young-P was reviewed by Urban Hitz Magazine founder/editor as "One of the best artists coming out of the country in a long time" and by manager Scott Vaughn saying “Young-P is an outstanding rap artist with a smooth flow, catchy lyrics, perfect delivery, he is definitely going to shine bright.”

During 2005 he became an artist of Dark Chocolate Entertainment and launched his official website www.young-p.com. Now in 2006 he will be releasing his long-awaited mixtape Ahead of the Game featuring well-known artists Ken Hell and Esscay. As it’s still at its early stages you can expect more big names. Look out for him because Young-P is going to be the next big thing.
