When Israel released his critically acclaimed debut album Chapter One in 2005 as a follow up to his Aria chart-topping singles, the world knew this multi-talented musician had not only arrived but had made his indelible mark on the RnB/Hip Hop scene internationally.
Since its release, Chapter One has had three Aria Top 40 hits: Top 40 debut single Wake Up with You, Top 20 smash Old Skool Luv’ and Urban Music Awards nominated hit Work Da Middle. Add to that a NUMBER 1 hit on The Edge 96.ONE charts with the hauntingly melodic track My Girl and you begin to see the amazing depth and talent of this artist.
Israel was nominated for three awards at the inaugural Australian Urban Music Awards: Best R&B Album for Chapter One, Best R&B Single for Work Da Middle and Best Video Clip for Work Da Middle. And Israel produced the award-winning Best RnB Album for Jade MacCrae.
Israel performed the 4th single from Chapter One, the compelling My Girl, at the Urban Music Awards, and was acknowledged as the most outstanding performance of the night. This is one artist who knows how to put on a knockout performance that will not be forgotten!
Proving his worth in a tough industry, Israel is a gifted singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, holding production credits through his own company ‘Elite Fleet Productions’ and signing multi-talented artists to his record label ‘Nufirm Records’.
‘Nufirm Records’ bring you everything you would expect from a dedicated RnB/Hip Hop label and are already living up to their ‘Fresh, Focused, Firm’ assertion with the signing of ground-breaking talent such as Stan Bravo, Phenomena, Kash Boys and Emerson.
Israel has spent nine years immersed in music, resulting in a catalogue of over 700 songs and a coveted publishing deal with Sony/ATV Publishing. He is set to write in the US in 2007 with some of the industry top-liners.
Israel also has a habit of hooking up with touring international artists to write with and lay down tracks whilst they are in Australia, including the likes of De La Soul, Arrested Development, MC Jin and Nitty. He even hooked up Nitty to sing on one of his cuts with Ricki-Lee called Let Me Hear You.
Couple this with his amazingly intuitive approach to film production – Israel teams with ‘Entity Films’ and directs his own video clips as well as those of his artists’ – and what you have is a true all-rounder who identifies with the total span of the industry.
