Yep...we're talking about Ice Cube. Straight outta N.W.A., Ice has crafted a career that is virtually unmatched, and this album In the Movies serves as a fantastic testament to this wonderful career.
Kickin' off with You Can Do It, which is probably Ice's most party-happy track, this collection covers all of the songs that the man has leant to various film projects, that he has predominantly starred in. From the Friday's to Murder Was The Case this collection covers it all.
The murderous Natural Born Killaz with N.W.A. partner Dr. Dre is a fantastically wicked track, as is another party starter We Be Clubbin'. Frequent collaborator Mack 10 lends his vicious style to The World is Mine, Maniac in the Brainiac and the aforementioned You Can Do It. All of which are standout tracks. I could probably pass on the Paul Okenfeld featuring Right Here, Right Now, but this is a small price to pay for what is a great collection.
In the Movies shows the wide breadth of movie work Ice has managed, but it is also just a great vehicle to reminisce, and remember the canon of such a great artist.
